This shot symbolizes the shoot is not over until it's over. When the model and I finished our shoot at Central Park, I happened to notice a super spot for one more shot. I said to the model, "I think we can get a special shot if you stand on that rock in the water". The model, exhausted, said, "Maybe another time, I'm too tired". Normally, I'd let it go at that, but this time I had such a strong feeling about the beauty of the setting that I convinced her to try one more pose. While I photographed her on the rock, I said, "Since you're in all white, all we need is a swan". I swear this is true — a swan comes out of the reeds and comes directly towards us. We were both so stunned that she broke her pose and I lowered my camera. Then I snapped out of it and said, "Ignore the swan and arch again". The result was a lasting image that made the cover of a national yoga calendar. Afterwards, we laughed about the magical swan and I said, "No one will believe us!".
