One of my favorite subjects of all time was Muhammad Ali. Not only did Muhammad have a special charisma about him, he also had a wonderful sense of humor. After the shoot, Muhammad extended a box of chocolates as a thank you, and said, “Help yourself.” When I went to take one, Muhammad slapped my hand away with lightning speed. I jumped a mile, and Muhammad said “I got you good, didn’t I?” Out of all my portraits, this soulful image is one of my favorites.
